Live To Eat

Have been sick for the past 1 week. Everyone knows that when you are sick, the medicines that we given to cure you will most probably numb the senses in your tongue and eventually food is almost tasteless.

Right before i fell sick, we have scheduled to drive down to Seremban just to taste the very popular BBQ crabs. According to my brother, the crabs are so special and delicious that we will not be able to find it any place else. So being a little skeptical, i asked Jess and her bf to join us as well.

The day came but i was still sick. Since Jess had already taken a day off just for the crabs, so it is just not right for us to reschedule. We all met at my house and initially wanted to start the journey by 5pm. But we got delayed because it was the same day that we have to wait for the repairers to come to the house to have a look at the leaking tank and it was raining as well.

Ghost!!!!

An hour later, we were all finally on the way to Seremban. I have not been a very fuzzy person when it comes to food. My motto is always eat to live rather than live to eat. In Algeria i can sometimes just eat instant noodle or even just plain rice plus a little japanese seasoning for lunch. As long as they can just fill my hunger. This time around, especially with my flu, i didnt put high hopes on the crab because i am sure i will not taste anything.

And so the 6 of us ordered 3 extra side dishes besides the crabs. Since the BBQ crab is the famous one, although there were many other cooking style too, we decided to go for the BBQ crab. A whopping 3.2kg of fat, huge and yummy crabs!

Spicy clams

Famous yee Mee

Vegetable with garlic

Their special chili.. hot and sour..

And the main "actor/actress" of the day...GIANT crab!

Look at the meat!!!! I got lucky!

As we dug into the thick meat and licking our fingers, we decided to re-order another 3.2kg of crabs! Yummy! It's a long 45 minutes drive from KL so might as well eat all we could right??! And the bill was very reasonable too. Only 50 bucks per pax. So worth it!

For the first time, i live to eat and it was so worth the time!

Dream Came True!

Sometime last week, i had a very weird dream. I do not remember the whole content of the dream. I remembered i was dreaming something when suddenly the environment in the dream changed and then i was in my current house. From nowhere, the ceilings began to leak and the whole house was wet. So i woke up and i told my mum about the dream and she even teased me for having such a strange dream.

Fast forward 2 days later. It was rainy night and i was just reading in my bed. Then came the sound of water dripping. Without doubt, i thought it must be from the rain. But the dripping sound got louder and louder, even after the rain stop. So i checked all the corners in my room but found nothing. And when i opened my door, to my horror, my whole stairways was soaking wet! The was leaking from the ceiling!!!

So we had to quickly turned off the main water pipe and place tongs to gather the water. The next day i just grab a number from a flyer i found outside my house and requested someone to come over to have a look. I thought it was just because of the misplaced of the pump since i had it changed a few days ago. And i didint sleep well that night because i was worried that the leak will hole the plaster ceiling or worst the plaster ceiling might fell off.

And the diagnosis came. It was not the pump but worst! There is a leak from the tank and i have 2 choice which is to repair it or change it entirely. Repairing it will be much cheaper but there is no guarantee that it will work and there will be a water stoppage of 3 days. So the next best choice is to change the whole thing!

And hence i spent the whole Sunday sitting at home while the tank was being fixed. It was a huge project because the tank will had to be taken out from the roof top. Meaning some part of the roof will be removed and put back eventually. My concern is that they might not put it back properly and then i will have another leak from the roof. Oh mine, it will be a disaster if that happened. God help me!

My dream actually came true, for the first time in my life!

Now my bank is 2k lesser due to the repair. It's not just 2k, it's a mac book that i had to forgo now. Sigh......

I wondered when i will dream of me winning the lottery?!

All In The Name of Love

Yesterday was a very tired day for me. By the time i bathed and hit the sack, it was already 2am.

My brother wanted to get the latest Maxis Iphone 4 package for his girlfriend. The last time he bought her a handphone, it was 3 years ago and fair enough for him to change her one by now. So they werebusy seeking for the phone since the day it was launched but most of the time, the phone was already sold out in the outlets.

We happened to have dinner with my dad yesterday at 1 Utama and they decided to try the Maxis and Digi centers as well as Mac city but all phones were sold out. I can see the disappointments in them. During dinner however, they wanted to check out Pavilion. So i quickly gave Jess a call and seek for her help to ask since she is working in Pavilion. She in return, had to seek help from her colleague because she was already off work. And the result that came back was full of excitement! It appeared that there were still 150 units left in Pavilion Mazxis center! The bad news was no deposit and the phones were selling fast!

So after a really quick dinner with dad, we decided to rush to Pavilion! It was 8:15pm and it was raining, and we prayed that there was no jam. And so we speed! By the time we got there, it was 15 minutes to 9pm and there were already a crowd outside the store, as well as long queues inside! Gulp!

So they quickly got in the queue while asking the floor staff regarding the plan and thunder struck them! Michelle is using a subsidiary line from her mother currently. In order for her to change her line into a primary line and get herself the phone with the new plan, she has to get her mother to sign an authorization letter together with their photocopied I.C. Of course she has none of those!!

All with the "What???" stunned face.

So what can she do? Since she do not want to forgo her current phone number and she can't just buy the phone and get the plan tomorrow, there was only one choice, that is to get a new number entirely. And they had to discuss over it.

While they busy making the "toughest" decision in their lives, my younger brother and I got bored. Really really bored. So i took out my outdated 3g Iphone and began snapping. We were all over the place touching these and that. My younger brother even went opposite to Digi back and forth to compare the deals. There were several interactive Maxis kiosks in the store and we just sat there poking into every single categories while fighting boredom!

Me pretending to be a handphone model. Hahah

Self-destructive SMS anyone??? It's like James Bond!

Someone must have gone home either with a strand of hair missing or a broken wig! I wondered what happened earlier? Fighting over the phone???

By the time they decided to sign up for a new line, it was already 30 minutes passed. Maxis was closing, gate was drawing down. While we told one of the ground staff about our decision, he was rather annoyed and asked if we had taken the forms. Of cos we didint and there was a danger of us queing thus far for nothing! Luckily the ground staff secretly gave us a form to sign up and asked us to be hush about it because apparently they were telling new comers that the phones were all sold off at that moment. And true enough, there were only 2 numbers left for us to choose when it was our turn.

Pity the staff, all looking tired and exhausted.

You must be wondering why i have tagged along in this madness when i could just be home and relax. Well it turned out that i was badly needed and i am the crucial person in this madness. I was needed for one thing only, which was my credit card!!! Sob sob sob!!! Few months ago i had also went to the same centre and help Jess to get her Iphone simply because HSBC offered 0% interest. And now i am needed for the same reason. Maxis should compliment and give me some freebies for being such a loyal customers! hahah

Signing..signing..signing...

And finally we were done! Yay!!!! Michelle is very happy about her new phone and swore that she will not touch the phone that night or she cant put it down. By the time we left, it was 30 minutes passed 10pm and the poor staff were still serving the last customer.

Yay new phone!
Sigh...2k gone...

But as long as she is happy, i am happy too! hehe

Of course first call out from the new phone must be to the boyfriend!

So there you are, all the madness all in the name of love - Michelle's love for the Iphone; My brother's love for Michelle; and of course the 2 bystanders' (My youngest brother and i) love for the family! I feel like a saint now! haha

At 845pm... wee! excited!

At 10:30pm....are we done yet??? zzzz

Plus One!!

Remember my post on my love philosophy of "Minus One Plus One"? Well on September 25, one of my best friend decided to leave the number game and get married! So now i am sure the circle of love will have another empty seat available for another single-young-hot looking girl / guy to grab a number and get hitched!

Their lucky numbers for the day...

I have knew Bee since secondary school and we have been really good friends since. I used to visit her house after school just to chat or read the comics she had. And then one day she decided to go to Australia to study. Boohoo.... But luckily after a few years of waiting myself, i too went over to Perth to study. I still remember she was the one who pick me up from my hotel and sent me to the university to get me registered and also introducing me to the other Malaysians who were there. We also like to visit her house just to taste her cooking, especially the sumptuous soup that she liked to make. Yummy!

It was just a simple ROM event at the famous temple in KL. Together with both families and some "non-relatives" like me, it was a short but really sweet ceremony. Throughout the whole process, Bee was so anxious and a little nervous. Well which girl wouldnt right? It's a huge decision! But she did look very very elegant and pretty. As for the husband, he too was nervous but we could tell from her expression that he was really thrilled and blessed to have Bee as his wife.

Look at her now, from a Miss to Mrs! Congratulations my dear, may you have a blissful marriage and lovely kids together. Just to see how she will look as a mum, i managed to snap photos of her with kids in her arm. Aww... she will make a wonderful wife and mother.

Love you always too my dear.

Quarantine Me

Lucky Cofi had the opportunity to travel to Algeria with me few months ago.
Cofi right before her flight back to KL...

This time when i came back, i had to travel together with her as well. Traveling with a pet is really a stressful experience, if flying itself is not stressful enough. Each time i go for a transit, i will be really worried if Miss Cofi Chen is being transferred together with me too. Each time i walked to the plane on the skybridge, i will will looking around trying to catch glimpses of her. The last time we travelled together to Algeria, she got missing during the transit in Paris. Thank goodness this time around i managed to catch glimpses of her during all these transits, which managed to make me worried lesser.

From Algiers...

To uploading her onto the plane...

To Paris where she got to come out and peed around...

Since the Malaysian Pets Department required all imported animals to be quarantined for at least 7 days before release, of course Cofi had to go through the same thing too. There was no escape, if you know what i mean.

So happened that the week while she was in quarantine, it was also the Hari Raya holidays. Plus i had to travel overseas during the 7 days too. So at the end, i could only visit her for a day while the rest of the 6 days she will have to be alone.

Hence on the 3rd day of her quarantine, my brother, my mum and i decided to visit her in the quarantine station situated just along the way to LCCT. I thought i must be a hard core dog lover for driving 45 minutes to see Cofi just so that she wont feel abandoned but i was wrong!

While i was there, there was this couple who came back together with their award winning pedigree Poodle from Thailand and they have been visiting the dog every single day together with showering kits and hair dryer. That day when i was there, it was already the 5th day of thier visit. They told me that on the average, they spent about 2 hours there. Whao! Sorry Cofi darling, you mummy doesnt love you to that extend! Opps!
What spacious room she has!

Wee! Finally get to go on the greens and pee!

Now, when Cofi went over to Algeria, together with the cage, they weighted 8.3kg but on her trip back, the total weight was 9.3kg. So she had gained weight and i was having trouble to size her down because i cant stand her puppy look whenever i am eating and at the end i will surely feed her some human food.

Sheesh...what a fat ass she has!

And we bumped into her caretaker while we were they. He is a friendly guy who came over just to tell us that Cofi had been behaving really well during her 2 days stay and she was rather quite too. The only thing was she didnt really eat a lot. And that is actually a good news for me. Finally, she gets to go on her diet plan. But i guess Cofi was not very happy with me dumping her alone in the quarantine station while i had fun in Tokyo, so she decided to give me something to remember of her.

A giant scratch that bleed for the next few minutes. Hmph! You think you made a statement here dont you Cofi Chen? The truth is, i didnt think of her a second when i was in Tokyo. I was too busy having fun! Hahahah
