Eat. Shop. Massage! - Heavenly Bandung Day 4 Finale

Every thing good will and must comes to an end. So was our shopping spree. However, since Airasia did what they did best by delaying our flight from morning to night, we have so much time more to pamper ourselves before going back to reality. So again we went for a nice massage at the same place. We wanted to visit the famous pork noodle around that place but did not know where to go. Hence we thought of just grabbing any food available there. We must be lucky because the famous pork noodle shop was just opposite of the massage parlo! Wee!

This is a must try in Jess's list. Teh Botol = tea in a bottle. Haha but it is nice though.

I swear to god that this is the most spicy chili i ever taste! It teared me so much!

Jess's selection - the famous spicy pork noodle.

As for me, i opted for the fried prawn noodle since i was not feeling well.

But the noodle was as spicy! At the end, i can hardly finished my noodle.

But lucky for me, i can always fall back on having a juicy "char--siew" pau. Yum yum.

Cute and very obedient doggy dressed in Burberry. She was told my her "mummy" to say salam to me and he actually lifted her paw up when saying salam to me. Just so adorable!

We check ourselves out from the hotel and we still had about 4 hours to spend. Thus, we decided to ask Pak Emut to come pick us up from the hotel and headed to a very Kota Raya place like where Jess could shop for clothes as souvenirs as well as getting her mum so really nice batiks.

After this last minutes shopping spree, we wanted to go to the famous duck place which was also very near to where we were. I must say the food actually tasted quite ok. Perhaps it was me getting sick then or perhaps the food was just a little overrated.

Dont play play! The duck is fierce!

Normal fried.

Chili fried.

And then it was time to go. Pak Emud didnt forget to bring us to one last stop that was a must. That is to buy souvenirs back, ie local delicacies. So we bought all kinds of snacks, sweets as well as the famous chocolate cakes.

One bag only? Of course not! We have checked in others!

I bet Jess's friends must really love her a lot especially seeing so much local delicacies. Yum yum.

As for me, after popping my flu medicine, i just wished i could be at home then and sleep.

Eat. Shop. Massage! - Heavenly Bandung Day 3

Whee!! Day 3 of Bandung! A day of relaxation and last minute shopping.

On this day, Jess and i decided to just hop on to a local taxi to the outlets near Rumah Mode again because there might be just some gems that we have missed yesterday and so we went! And somehow along the way we managed to hop on the local bus or angkut. The fare of the angkut is about RM0.30 or so. Although we didnt know where to stop we just told the driver the place we wanted to go and he would let us know when we reached. For me, this was really really fun because finally, we were experiencing a part of the daily life of the locals.

Some of the fun facts that we learnt was the fare per pax was Rm0.30 but if you were to ride the angkut in pairs, instead of paying RM0.60 you were supposed to pay RM0.70! Strange isnt it? Besides, the angkuts were aplenty in Bandung and they will only drive within a specific area and no where else. Also angkuts will just stop anywhere as they like. Plus, there is no door at the back seats! Teenagers or students with musical instruments will just walk to the entrance and sing you a song while we stopped at traffic lights. If you like the music, you just pay whatever you deemed it was worth. Fun!

We didnt really shop that much today. Well at least not me. I was just helping Jess out to pick up some last minutes shopping and also helping my friend to pick up so clothes. And once we felt that shopping was finally done, we decided to go for a message. But, we didnt know where.

One thing i really admire about Bandung is how friendly the people are. They would just help you as much as you could. As for us, the locals were so warm and sweet and tried to local a nice massage place for us by asking around, even to the extend of calling friends on the phone to ask. At the end, we were send to a place by the name of "Qi".

This was the exact same massage parlo i passed by the first time i was there. It was cheap! Imagine paying only Rm20 for a 2 hours full body massage + legs massages. Wonderful!

And then the next best thing after a wonderful massage was more shopping! There is an outlet just opposite of the parlo and there we went again! How embarrassing! Hahahah. I was not really feeling very well on that day and sort of lost my appetite a bit but after the massage with all the "qi" pumping into my body, it sort of relieved the tension and heat in me a little and i actually felt so hungry that i was shaking! So we had to just pop into any restaurant we could find around there and we found this!

A Chinese steamboat restaurant! It is very similar to Cocoa Steamboat in KL but the soup and ingredients were 100 times better! The meat and seafood were so fresh that when you bite on them, you they "bounced" in your mouth! Hahha no joking! And they were juicy as well. Oh thinking of it actually makes me drool now.

And the icing to the whole dinner was the chili. It was very very spicy. I was having a hard time deciding if i should be eating the meal with or without the chili because they were both eaqually delicious on its own. We had both tom yam and clear soup. The tom yam soup looked very clear but hey it was really spicy. It was blended with the right touch or sourness and spicy. Just yummy. As for the clear soup, whao... it was just fantastic. Yummy to the very last drop!

Phew! What a wonderful dinner! More tomorrow on the last day of our trip.

Eat. Shop. Massage! - Heavenly Bandung Day 2

Ok day 2 of Bandung and it was when the REAL shopping began!

Now in Bandung it is a norm for tourists to hire a private driver or taxi driver for a whole day and the driver will ferry you around the city, hopping from outlets to outlets. Rate is about RM300 for the whole day. This is the best way to do it because the car provides you the storage place you need, and thus you could shop freely and of course shop for more all the time. Besides, the driver would also know where to bring you for good food and sometimes, even massages. So for us, we became friendly with the taxi driver whom drove us back to the hotel from the airport on the day of our arrival.

Pak Emud was a really nice guy in his 60 maybe and he felt like a grandfather to me. Too bad i didnt speak to him much because of my poor Malay.

First stop, the must go outlet in the entire Bandung - Rumah Mode. This is known as the best factory outlet because of the high quality of the goods but things are a little pricey compare to others. Anyways, it was raining when we reached. It was sunny when we decided to pop over to the cafe inside for lunch. It was raining again when we left. So folk, how long did you think we were inside for? *Drum roll....* 5 hours! 5 hours! 5 hours!!! Yep 5 hours! Why? Well check out the photos and you might know why.

Rumah Mode is like a one-stop outlet because the brands there are aplenty, the designs are new and it is just very convenient to shop in. When i was with my friend the last visit, we spent about 2 hours here because we wanted to visit more outlets. Since this was my 2nd time and i knew that Rumah Mode is the best amongst all, we spent as much time as we could here. Jess was excited!

While she was very focus in her shopping, i grew tired of mine. Anyways i am not a hardcore shopping person to begin with. So, i sat at a comfy sofa and begin snapping just to pass time.

We went into Rumah Mode by 12 noon and left when it was 5 plus and Jess had already spent all the budget in 1 outlet! hahah but did we stop there? Of course not! Next stop, Levis jeans! Of course we can count on Pak Emut to send us there and he recommended Toko Tiga rather than the famous jeans street. Sweet Pak Emut told us that those jeans in the jeans street will only be good if there are just as gift but for personal use, Toko Tiga is the best place because it is the shop that guaranteed of genuine goods.

I wasnt really into jeans hence all i did in Batu Tiga was to snap pictures. One thing interesting about bandung outlets are no matter what is the size of the outlet, the owner will always decorate the outlet to make it look interesting. Check out photos of Batu Tiga and you will be awed.

There was a cycling froggy...

Dwarves trying to escape via the pillars...Hm... i wonder where Snow White was?

A pair of loving deers showing off their love at the peak of the waterfall..

Very noisy real bird in cage vs dumb fake bird outside..

And the 4 acrobat performing tortoises in the water feature...

Interesting isnt it? For dinner Pak Emud again recommended us to a lovely place, Restaurant Sari Pawon. Initially we wanted to go to another restaurant which was near this one and it was also in Jess's list. But Pak Emud insisted that we should go this one instead because he said that the food at both restaurant are equally good but he would prefer this one better. So of course we have to listen to the locals because they know best.

Restaurant Sari Pawon looks like any ordinary restaurant we could find in KL, but only from the outside. Once inside, there are cute bamboo huts and serene water features decorations that brought us closer to nature. By the way, food was fantastic!

And as typical tourists, we over ordered and over stuffed ourselves. But it was good and cheap too! All for only RM50! And by the time we reached hotel, we decided to have a little fashion show. Well not so much on me. I was the camera woman while Jess was my model.

Check out the brands! Quicksilver and RL...

CK and AX...

Tommy Hilfilger!

All these for Jess's lucky boyfriend!

Juicy Couture!

Here we have the elegant day look...

The cute shopping look...

And the classy yet super comfy training look!

And the sisters / me-too look!

Tomorrow, Day 3, back to basis & pamper me day! Saving the best for last!
