I looked at the numbers of friends i managed to find via facebook and also the number of friends of my other friends.
I began to wonder. What is the use of facebook really, besides giving us the perfect excuse to invade into others' privacy and being busybody?
I know we were supposed to use facebook to start connecting with people we have long lost contact with or long forgotten. So each time when we thought of someone, we will try so hard to look up for them and add these long lost friends into our list. Each time when we were given suggestions to add someone recommended by a mutual friends, we will not be hesitated to click on the "add XXX as your friend" button.
After that what follows? Do we really speak to them? Do we really connect with them? Do we even drop a line or two to say hello? Or we just gossip on them by looking at what their shoutouts were and what their latest pictures were?
We got connected but we never really connect again. Somehow it is just a numbers game for a lot of us.
